The Crystal Ballroom at Hyatt Regency Dubai witnessed the launch of the Global Peace Hospitality Summit & Awards 2025, organized by the Global Peace Institute – United Kingdom in collaboration with Impact Hub UAE.

The prestigious event brought together leaders, diplomats, changemakers, and media professionals from over 30 countries under the theme “Hospitality as the Highest Form of Peace.”

The summit opened with speeches by Dr. Aishath Rafiyya, Regional Director for MENA, and Professor Rohan Gunaratna, Chairman of the Global Peace Institute London, who praised the UAE’s humanitarian leadership and its global role in fostering tolerance and coexistence.

The event also saw the launch of the Golden Wing of Peace Movement, honoring its founding patrons including H.E. Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chair of the Defense, Interior, and Foreign Affairs Committee at the UAE Federal National Council.

A new publication, “Planetary Health and Social Security,” was also unveiled, promoting an interdisciplinary approach to peace and well-being.

Throughout the day, panel discussions addressed key global topics such as peace through hospitality and tourism, sustainability, women’s leadership, innovation, digital impact, global health, and youth empowerment.

The summit concluded with reflections from Mr. Clifford James Gere, President of the Global Peace Institute, marking the organization’s first Middle East edition after successful events in London, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

In the evening, the Global Peace Hospitality Awards 2025 honored leaders and organizations driving progress in hospitality, sustainability, business innovation, government, health, education, and media.

A symbolic fashion showcase, “Wings of Harmony” by Egyptian designer Nadine Ellithy, added an artistic touch celebrating compassion and cultural unity.

The ceremony recognized outstanding humanitarian service through the Lifetime Achievement Award and Golden Wing of Peace Certification, concluding with the institute’s highest honor — the Golden Sail of Distinction.
